Nordmann

Nordmann is the most beautiful Christmas sweater - named after a Christmas tree favorite - the Nordmann fir.
The sweater is designed to be worn a little beyond December, because the idea behind the sweater was that it should be Christmassy enough that no one has any doubt that it is a Christmas sweater, but also so classic and wintery that it can be worn from November ;)
The sweater can be easily decorated. For example, embroider small Christmas balls on one or more of the trees, or use a thin sequined thread when knitting trees or ribbed edges.

Oversize
96 (102) 110 (116) 124 (134) 146 (152) cm.
How big you want the positive ease to be is up to you, maybe around 5-15 cm will be suitable for many. In the pictures I am wearing size B, which measures 102 cm, and my chest measurement is approx. 90 cm, i.e. a positive ease of 12 cm.

Recommended yarn
1 strand Pernilla from Filcolana (Skein length: 175m/50g).
+1 thread Alva from Filcolana (length: 175m/25g).

Knitting strength (after washing and blocking)
Width: 20 stitches over 10 cm.
Height: approximately 24 stitches over 10 cm (not as important as the width).
(If you have a knitting tension of 21/10, the sweater will be 3-4 cm narrower, so if you are between 2 sizes, this can be used).

Guide pins + accessories
Circular needle 4.5 mm 60-100 cm. Always make a knitting sample.
Circular needle 4 mm for ribbing at the bottom of the body and neckline.
Circular needle/double pointed needles 3.5 mm for ribbing on wrists.

Workflow
The sweater is knitted from the top down with English tailored shoulders. The sweater is assembly-free and knitted in one piece.

On the back to lock floats (long stitches) I use the ladderback method (there is a video on this included in the pattern). But you can use any method you prefer, or leave long stitches as long stitches ;)
