A Knitter's Vest
A Knitters Vest is a lovely warm vest full of lovely details. The difficulty level is medium. It has a lot of stockinette stitch and rib, but also beautiful details like horizontal stitches and vertical button placket - all described in the pattern.
It is knitted from the top down so you can easily adjust the length on the body if you want it longer.

How big you want the positive ease to be is up to you, I prefer about 5-6 cm on this vest myself.

Guide pins + accessories
Circular needle 3.5 mm - 4 mm (60 + 80/120 cm). Use the needle size that gives you the correct knitting tension.
Circular needle size 3 mm (40 + 80/100 cm) for rib edges.
1 double pointed needle 3 mm.
4 buttons approx. 20-22 mm. (The buttonhole can be adjusted to other sizes).
Workflow
The vest is knitted from the top down. First the back piece is knitted and then the two front pieces are knitted separately. After the armholes, everything is joined on the same needle and the body is knitted. The vertical button band is knitted last in double crochet.
